Why it exists

Every family has the same pile: the Friday folder that comes home in a backpack, and an inbox with eleven school emails nobody has read. The information isn’t missing — it’s just scattered across two schools, four teachers, a PDF attachment and a newsletter from three weeks ago.

Friday Folder reads all of it for you, and answers the only question that actually matters on a Tuesday morning: what has to happen today, and for which kid?

How it works

  1. Give the school one address. Your family gets its own private forwarding address. Add it as a second contact in the parent portal, or set up a filter in Gmail once.
  2. Notices arrive on their own. Email, PDF and Word attachments, or a photo of the paper that came home — all read the same way.
  3. Tasks show up sorted by child. Dates, dollar amounts and forms pulled out automatically, each one traceable back to the sentence it came from.
  4. One push at 6:30am. Exactly what today needs. Short enough to read at a stoplight.

Questions

Do I have to forward every email myself?
Only at first. Most families add their Friday Folder address to the school’s parent portal, or set up a one-time Gmail filter, and after that notices arrive on their own.
What if it puts a task on the wrong child?
Open the task and change it in one tap. Below a certain confidence it never guesses at all — it asks you which child it belongs to.
Does it work if my kids are at different schools?
That’s exactly what it is built for. Add each child’s school and mail from each school routes to the right kid automatically.
What about the paper that comes home in a backpack?
Photograph it. The camera reads a paper notice the same way it reads an email, and it lands in the same list.
Can both parents use it?
