Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 28, 2026

Aftercove, operated by Tenhetapp (“Aftercove,” “we,” “us”), helps families organize recovery and ongoing care for a loved one. We take the privacy of your information — especially health-related information — seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Aftercove is not a medical provider and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is a personal organizer for care information. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account: your email address and authentication details.
  • Care information: details you add about the person being cared for — name, relationship, optional date of birth, medications, care routines, plan items, notes, symptom descriptions, and activity logs.
  • Documents: photos or files of discharge papers you choose to upload so we can help organize them.
  • Care circle: email addresses you use to invite family members to help coordinate care.

Information collected automatically

  • Device & push tokens: a push-notification token if you enable reminders or recaps.
  • Usage & diagnostics: limited technical logs needed to run and troubleshoot the service, including counts of AI requests.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment-card details; Apple handles billing and shares only limited subscription status with us (via RevenueCat) to unlock features.

2. How we use your information

  • Provide the core service: organize care plans, medications, routines, logs, and reminders, and sync them across your care circle.
  • Generate AI-assisted features you request (see §3).
  • Send transactional emails and notifications (confirmations, password resets, reminders, weekly recaps).
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and provide support.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your care data to show you advertising.

3. AI features

Some features — turning discharge papers into a plan, symptom guidance, and weekly recaps — use AI. To provide them, the relevant text or image is sent through our servers to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a response. Anthropic processes this data to return the result and does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. AI output is informational only and is not medical advice.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run Aftercove:

  • People you invite: members of a care circle can see the care information for that recipient, according to the role you give them (caregiver or viewer).
  • Service providers (processors): Supabase (database, authentication, and storage, hosted in the United States), Anthropic (AI features), RevenueCat (subscription status), Apple (billing and push), Expo (push delivery), and our email provider (transactional email). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
  • Legal: if required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.

5. Security

Care data is protected by database row-level security so it is accessible only to the account owner and the care circle they invite. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete care information in the app at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the address below; we will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

8. Information about other people

If you add information about someone else (the person you care for), you confirm you have the authority to do so on their behalf. Please share only information that is necessary to coordinate their care.

9. Children

Aftercove is intended for adults (18+) coordinating care. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Health information

Aftercove is a consumer organizer, not a HIPAA-covered entity or a healthcare provider, and using it does not create a provider relationship. Treat the care information you store as personal and sensitive, and share circle access only with people you trust.

11. International users

Aftercove is operated from, and stores data in, the United States. By using the app you understand your information will be processed in the United States.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app.
